Raikes Preserve

This pristine wet woodland is bisected by a fast-running stream that originates in Kaintuck Pond and ends in Beaver Lake. Waterfowl such as Black Ducks, Mallards and Greenwinged Teal often find shelter at the mouth of the stream. In the woods, Red Maples and Tulip Trees are dominant and there is an understory of Spicebush and Skunk Cabbage.
